Just because we are in lockdown doesn’t mean the planning of our club stops. Tonight the committee was on a ‘Teams’ chat discussing all things ‘Gregorians’ so when lockdown ends we are ready to go. On the agenda were things like, kit, training sessions, first games back, Covid protocols, and facilities. We were also discussing how to keep players engaged through these challenging times. I think sometimes the work that goes on behind the scenes gets forgotten about, but it’s integral to making an amateur club tick, and without it, we wouldn’t exist. People like Paul Hough, Ken Goodwin, Dave How and Eddie Flanagan sometimes go under the radar, but without them, we wouldn’t have a club.
Keep training hard so we’re ready to go when lockdown ends on the 5th December for our first games back.
